Keen cyclist David Byrne designed some lovely bike racks for the New York city authorities and they’re now cropping up all over the city. The full story is here. As well equipped as Copenhagen is in terms of bike parking, idiosyncratic designs like this wouldn’t go amiss. Why not hold a competition? There’s plenty of unemployed designers out there who could do with the work.
